Deep Space nine is centered arround benjamin Sisco and the staff of Starbase Deep Space Nine.  DS9 is located at the entrance to the Bajoran Wormhole which leads to the Gamma Quadrant.  Cpt. Sisco also commands the U.S.S. Defiant, one of the most powerful ships in the federation.
